Not only does it thrive in the harsh, desert climates that could kill most living things, but it also produces a nut with many healing properties. Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax, which is cold-pressed and filtered from the Jojoba nut.

Velona USDA Certified Organic Jojoba Oil is gentle enough to be used as a carrier oil to mix with other essential oils. You can also use it on its own. Jojoba oil is rich in vitamin E and has been used to prevent other oils from going rancid.

Jojoba is applied directly to the skin to avoid acne, relieve sunburn, and chapped skin. It is also used topically to encourage the regrowth of hair in people who are balding. Warm the oil up beforehand so it's easier to apply. You can do this in a clean pot on a stovetop or in a microwave-safe bowl. Use about 1 tbsp. for short hair and 2 tbsp. for longer hair. Apply to hair above the scalp, and work down evenly to hair tips. Leave in for about 20 minutes, and then shampoo, condition, and rinse.
